Microflown AVISA develops and delivers highly advanced and contemporary capabilities in the field of battlefield acoustics.
Enabler is the Acoustic Multi Mission Sensor (AMMS) that is passive, low SWaP and not requiring a line of sight.
With active weapon location radars nowadays easy to detect and jam, distributed (sub)arrays of Acoustic Multi Mission Sensors (AMMSs), loaded with proper firmware, offer a technically and economically viable alternative.
War time capabilities include:
- cueing weapon location radars (WLRs) into a certain direction, reducing their time on target
- replacing completely WLR functions:
- target acquisition, localizing hostile rockets, artillery and mortar positions
- predicting points of impact of hostile supersonic rounds (Hear & Warn)
- fire control
The ground based version of the Mobile Sound Ranging Array (MSRA) can be hard wired and rapidly deployed.
The vehicle mounted version of the MSRA requires a very low bit rate radio communication.
Peace time capability includes target practicing under all weather conditions, providing immediate feedback to both forward observers and shooting units.
